Reconstructed two-handled jug made from an orange sandy fabric with a dark green glaze. Cordon and rilling decoration on the neck and a thumbed sagging base. Strips in the form of a cross on the shoulder is similar to a device used by the Ashton kiln at Chester, 1300s. (McIvor, I, & Gallagher, D., 1999, Archaeological Journal, 156, p203). Recovered from archaeological excavations of the moat at Caerlaverock Castle, 1955-1966.
