Object Detail

This bent arrowhead is of a bodkin type that was designed to pierce through armour. This example still has part of the yew shaft intact. It probably dates from the 1300s to the 1400s. Found during excavations of the moat at Caerlaverock Castle, Dumfries and Galloway, 1955-1966.
