Walking stick made from the tusk of a narwhal brought back by whalers from the Arctic, c.1800s. A similar walking stick appears in the portrait of Peter Wood, a Leith whaler, by Sir Henry Raeburn (1756-1823). On display at Trinity House, Leith.
